Nourish: Gratitude Journal
Our Nourish program highlights the importance of nourishing mind, body, and soul. Journaling nourishes the mind and soul and provides an excellent opportunity to get your feelings out on paper, record important thoughts and memories, or clear your mind.
Find a quiet spot where you can reflect and journal through your thoughts. No matter how you choose to engage with it, taking the time to write out your thoughts and feelings can help you to process your emotions, or to keep a record of important memories and events. Journaling can be a beneficial way to make sense of what you are feeling.
With the holidays in full swing, it’s normal to fell lost in the chaos – it is a busy time all-around! While the holidays we celebrate typically place high importance on gratitude and togetherness, it’s easy to get swept up in the hustle and bustle of all the moving pieces. As we approach the season of so many celebrations, let’s take a moment to reflect in gratitude.
Today, we encourage you to grab a notebook, journal, or scrap of paper, and work through some journal prompts intended to nourish your mind and soul amidst the holiday season:
1. List 2 people in your life that you are thankful for this year. Write about why you feel gratitude toward them.
2. Write about a time in your life that you didn’t appreciate or enjoy in the moment that you now look back on with a sense of gratitude.
3. Reflect on a memory from holidays in your past – what is a favorite memory you hold to that you are grateful for? Write about that.
As you move through this time of year, remember to keep gratitude close to your heart. Happy holidays – we are grateful for you!
